Work Begins on New Parliament Building

The central government has started the phase-wise redevelopment of New Delhi's Central Vista. The ambitious project includes eight new government office buildings, a new Parliament House and a residential complex near the South Block that could house the homes of the Prime Minister and the Vice-President. The government had in October 2019 appointed Ahemdabad-based architecture firm HCP Design as the consultant for the ambitious project.
