Legendary Architect B.V. Doshi turns 92 today!

The first Indian architect to receive the Pritzker Architecture Prize, the legendary Balkrishna Vithaldas Doshi, turns today 92! While extending warm wishes, we wish him a happier and healthier life ahead! Born on August 26, 1927, in Pune, this phenomenal architect, since an early age, dreamed of joining the Royal Institute of British Architects and moving to Paris to work under Le Corbusier. To fulfill his ambition, after graduating from Sir J.J. School of Architecture in Mumbai, he traveled to London in 1950. After a successful tenure with Le Corbusier for four years (1951-54), he came back to Ahmedabad and supervised Le Corbusier's projects.
